Nancy Lou Castillo

Nancy Lou Castillo (Escobedo) died peacefully at Promise Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 64. Nancy is survived by her brothers: Gilbert Escobedo, Joe Escobedo, sisters: Irene Escobedo, Nora Gonzales, and Virginia Perritte, children: Tony S. Castillo Jr, Tricia and Carlos Moreno, Mike and Stacy Castillo, and Tammy and David Criss, and grandchildren: Victoria Guzman, Valerie Guzman, Anthony Guzman, Nicholas Moreno, Alex Moreno, Jazmyn Criss, Desiree Moreno, and Victoria Moreno. She is preceded in death by: brothers Kyle Angel, Martin Acosta, Abraham Escobedo, Johnny Escobedo, Charlie Escobedo, and by father - Alfredo Escobedo and Mother Tomasita Angel. Nancy was born on April 3, 1950 in Stamford, Texas to Alfredo and Tomasita Escobedo. She married Tony Steve Castillo Jr on May 12, 1969. After moving to Garland, Texas, Nancy began working for Sears and Tyson. Tony and Nancy welcomed 4 children into their home and set about teaching them to respect and love. Nancy's children remember her as a kind, gentle, loving, and forgiving person. Nancy was a person who could make friends with anyone. She loved God, the Catholic faith, and was passionate about loving her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2014 at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas. Graveside service will take place Monday, October 27, 2014 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone who came to see her at home and at the hospital. Special thanks to those who showed support to her and her family.
