Karen Widing Frey, 62, returned to her heavenly home on February 5, 2017. Her firm belief in Jesus Christ and her devotion to her daughter and “family friends” supported her throughout her life, and ultimately gave her peace.

Karen was born to the later George Frey and Norma Frey, in Los Angeles, California on March 24th, 1954. She worked as a psychologist for Parkland Health & Hospital System for 20 years. Where she was recently named the Team Lead Phycologist and worked closely alongside Dallas Police Department. She was highly devoted to her career.

She attended the University of California at Los Angeles where she there earned her Bachelor and Masters degrees.

Karen was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Desiree, who was the apple of her eye.

Karen was loving, full of life, and a strong beautiful woman. She enjoyed traveling, skiing, being outdoors and spending weekends at the mall with her daughter.

We cannot express how much Karen will be missed by her daughter and her family friends who celebrate that she is now at peace with her creator.

Karen leaves to cherish her memory: Her daughter Desiree Frey, brother Peter (Kimberly) Frey, step-daughter, Jazmaine (Keith) Sargent. She is also survived by special friends, Rhonda Goen, Michael Noss and Parkland Hospital friends that she loved dearly.
