Joan Marie Cantrell, age 86, died at her home in Garland, Texas on Tuesday December 13, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.Joan was born on November 10, 1930 in Dallas, Texas. She was retired from Drain Doctor. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas.Survivors include 4 children: Sherry McDade of Garland, Texas; Marlin Cantrell of Farmers Branch, Texas; David Cantrell of Anacoco, Louisiana; and Teresa Perkins of Texarkana, Texas and one sister Rita Marie Hawkins of Mesquite, Texas; Four grandchildren: Shane Smith, Donna Burns, Crystal Cantrell and David Cantrell, Jr.; many nieces, nephews and special cousins. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Cantrell, Sr.A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon at Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Drive Garland, Texas 75041 on Friday December 16, 2016.
