Jane Yancey, formerly of Edgewater, Md., died suddenly Thursday, September 25, at Baylor Hospital of Garland, Texas. Services will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home (www.cwsfuneralhome.com), located at 1910 Eastgate Dr., Garland, TX 75041, on Wednesday, October 1, at 2:00 pm. Jane was born December 20, 1930, in Ida Grove, Iowa to Jens Sahl Sr. and Olga Kiertzner (Sahl). She married Richard T. Yancey, Sr. They spent their retirement years in Sebring, Florida. Richard preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Turner and Shannon Daniel of Garland, Texas, and Joni Yancey of Stevensville, Maryland; one son, Richard (R.T.) Yancey, Jr. of Edgewater, Maryland; sister Elaine Cherry of Winterhaven, Florida, and twin sister Joan Van Horn of Garland, Texas, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
