Ethel Myers

Ethel” Jane” Myers peacefully passed away October 5, 2016 at her home in Garland, Texas surrounded by her family. She fought a tough battle with C.O.P.D. for ten years and never complained. She was such a strong person. She was born December 14, 1939 in Crescent, Wisconsin to Walter and Bertha Pence. She was from a very large loving family of 12 siblings. She is survived by her siblings, Mae Burris, sister, Virginia Groves, sister, Delores Mikkelson, sister, Same Pence, brother,Chuck Pence, brother and Leonard Pence, brother.

Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was passionate about her profession as a medical transcriptionist. She retired from Mesquite Community Hospital where she worked many years. She continued to work from home so she could spend more time with her family until she fully retired in 2012.

She was a sweet loving person that touched the hearts of any one that met her. She always put her family first. She was a great listener who always made you feel special. She enjoyed most spending time with her family and her dogs. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and having her children and grandchildren scratch off her lottery tickets.

She is survived by her three children, Barbara Reynoso and husband, Mino, Gregory Mattson, Sr and wife Monique Mattson, and Kevin Myers and wife Lucrecia Agnew, six grandchildren, Justin Myers, Gregory Mattson, II, Chelsey Holmes, Hailey Myers, Grant Mattson, and Hunter Myers, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation and viewing will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas. Her final resting place will be in Albany, Wisconsin, beside her parents and siblings.
