Joni Shaw, age 41, died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in her home surrounded by love ones. She was born in Dallas, Tx to Penny and Tommy Bartlett. She graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1994 and afterwards attended cosmetology school. She met her husband in the summer of 1995 and they were married on October 12, 2002.

Joni was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, wife and a dear friend. She was survived by her husband NgArge Shaw, her daughters, Brianesha Jackson, Adia Shaw, Jada Shaw, Jasemine Shaw, and step daughter Miranda Swanagen. Her grand daughters Aniyah Truelove, Aubri Bilton, Alexis Truelove and grandson Aiden Bilton. She is also survived by her brother Wesley Wreyford. Her father Tommy Bartlett, step father Ernie Wreyford. She was pre deceased by her mother Penny Sands Wreyford and sister Caitlin Bartlett.

Joni loved singing, dancing, and most all smiling. She never met a stranger and although she had her own children, she never hesitated to take care of others. Joni showed us all what survival was all about. She fought a 3 year battle with cancer, and although it was tough at times, she still managed to keep that beautiful smile on her face. If you told her to stop, she would go. If you told her to go, she would go harder. And if you told her to go harder, she would go all out. She will be greatly missed, but if you could ask her whats she doing right now, her answer would be "just chilling. We love you Joni and continue to "just chill" with your mom until we see you again.
