Wanda Jean Stover Mueller

This world has lost another angel. Wanda Mueller passed away November 1, 2014 at her home in Sun City Georgetown Texas. She was born in Weatherford, Texas, April 13, 1930. She moved with her parents and two sisters to several Texas cities before they settled in Garland in 1944 and there she graduated from Garland HS in 1946. She joined Luscombe Airplane Corporation as a secretary, where she met Merle and they were married in 1948 at the First United Methodist Church-Garland. After the death of their son Gary in 1971 she worked as a receptionist and secretary at Southern Bank, which then became Texas Commerce Bank. Later she was active in the First United Methodist and volunteered in the church office for 18 years. After living in Garland for over 50 years they purchased a home in the place they loved-the Texas Hill Country. In Sun City she loved cooking, enjoyed entertaining and was active in the Sun City Worship Place, the Ceramics Club and the Nature Club. All during her life she derived the most satisfaction by helping or serving others. She is survived by her husband of 66 years and by Aunt Zula Stover of Frisco and cousins Sue Rasul of Frisco. She is preceded in death by her son Gary and her parents R.L. and Gladys Stover. Visitation at Eastgate Funeral Home 10-11 am Friday, November 7, 2014. Graveside to follow at Restland Cemetery at 11:30. Memorial Service in Georgetown is pending.
