Elizabeth Ann Rosamond passed away December 13, 2013. Betty was born June 18, 1936 to parents George and Gladys Elson of Sharon, Massachusetts. She was married to Marvin Welge in April 1956. Wayne, Bill and Ruth were children from this union. Betty eventually moved to Texas in 1963 with the family. Marvin passed away in January 1970. Betty remarried in 1973 to Ben Rosamond until he passed in June 1998. Betty loved her family. Betty also loved to travel. Whether driving across country or flying to new destinations, Betty was always happiest when traveling. She was proud of her Boston heritage - Betty happily shared her Northeastern dialect with her Texas friends and family. Betty was a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society at Dallas Baptist College, Disabled American Veterans Aux #32, and Greater Dallas Veterans Council. She is survived by sons Wayne Welge and Bill Welge and daughter Ruth Petrich. In addition, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at The Oaks Baptist Church of Grand Prairie at 801 E Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, TX at 2:00 on Thursday, December 19, 2013.
