Maurine was born August 10th, 1930 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18th, 2013. She was preceded in death by her sisters Juanita Key and Faye Hatcher. Anyone who knew Maurine knows that she would want us to mention her beloved cats Maggie and Mollie who also recently passed away. She is survived by son, Ken Henley of Richardson, daughter, Peggy Mason of Wylie, son-in-law she regarded as another son, Bob Mason of Wylie, 5 grandchildren, Brad Parker of Waco, Jeff Henley of California, Jenn Henley of McKinney, Courtney Parker of New Braunfels, and Jessie Link and husband John of McKinney. Other grandchildren are: Mindy Alcorn and husband, Ron of Caddo Mills, Carrie Moss and husband, Jason of Forney, and Henry Mason and wife, Tessa of Alba. Their children, all of whom lovingly called Maurine Gigi for Great-grandmother, are Zachary and Zona Alcorn, Dante', Mason, and Jaxon Moss, and Connor and Carter Mason. Maurine is also survived by two sisters and a brother-inlaw. Edith McLaughlin of Waxahachie and Ruby Usleton and husband, Ovie, of Mabank. Also, there are several beloved nieces and nephews and their families as well as cousins. Maurine left a note that said, "I wish the entire service to be a happy one as I will be in a happy place with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My journey is over, I will finally be home. I will not be dead but alive for evermore. My prayer is that we will all meet again at the feet of Jesus." She requested to be buried in something pink from her closet. Nothing fancy as God will have a white robe waiting for her to put on. Services will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 22nd. A visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening, also at Eastgate Funeral Home.
