Claudia Lane Wright

Claudia Lane Wright, age 70, passed away Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Claudia was born on May 12, 1947 in Liberty, Texas to Herbert and Betty (Greene) LaFour. She graduated from French High School in Beaumont Texas in 1965. She attended Business School before entering the career that would see her as a small business bookkeeper, administrative assistant at Anderson Fischel Advertising Agency and then office manager in several Dallas’ medical practices.

Community minded and always eager to offer her talents and energy, she was a member and past President of the Garland Service League which later became the Junior League of Garland, member and past President of the Club Hill Elementary School PTA, member and past President of the Critic’s Choice Literary Club of Garland. She was also a graduate of the Garland Citizen Police Academy and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a fiercely proud and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and an incomparable wife to her husband Larry.

Claudia will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends that she so dearly loved. Claudia is survived by husband, Larry Wright, son, Jason Wright and fiancé Donna Gann of Waxahachie, Texas, stepson Christopher Wright of Olathe, Kansas, stepdaughter, Erica Wright Brune and husband Mike of Overland Park, Kansas, mother, Betty Fabian of Waxahachie, Texas, sister, Laura Terrill, Waxahachie, Texas, brother, Brent LaFour and wife Delmy of Duncanville, Texas, Sister in law, Jan and Brother in law, Jim Wright and wife Joellen, grandchildren, Brittany Wright, Lucas Wright, Benjamin Wright, Maxwell Wright, Porter Brune, Reagan Brune and Piper Brune and great grandchildren, Jayden Burton and Rylee Burton and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will celebrate Claudia’s life Saturday, May 19th at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel at East Dallas Christian Church at 629 North Peak Street, Dallas, Texas . Burial will be Monday, May 21st in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. and cemetery requests if attending to be there at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society. Always a giver of herself, Claudia is a cornea donor to University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
