Ernest Davis Jr. passed from this life to meet his Savior and Lord on February 13, 2014. He was survived by his wife Joyce Wagner Davis. Four children: Son Michael Davis deceased, Daughter Rita Davis, and Sherry Varnell both of Garland Texas and son James Davis of Azle Texas. Son in law Brad Varnell. He had seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. Brother Robert Davis of Rockwall Texas, and Sister Betty Wright of Elbert Co. Deceased brothers and sisters are: Turlon Davis, Orville Texas, Edwin Davis, Donald Davis and sister Ernestine Davis. Deceased parents are: Ernest Davis Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Drayo Davis. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. They were the twinkle in his eye. That twinkle will be missed. Above all his love for the Lord and prayer life was his testimony. His famous words were: "All we can do is pray". On the day the Lord took him home he was praying for his kids. No better testimony could one have or no better way to leave this world than praying. He will be missed by all, especially his wife! Will see you on the other side of Jordan!
