Connie's family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6 to 8 Thursday, July 31, at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday August 1st at Eastgate Chapel. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park. Connie graduated from the University of S D at Vermillion in 1960 and shortly thereafter married Dennis Godsell. Connie was an avid homemaker and mother. She had 2 children within the next 2 years while working as a social worker in Denver, CO. Connie and her husband loved to dance and appreciated good music. Connie is survived by her daughter Lisa and her husband James Baker and their two children Jett and Bailey. Her son Mark Godsell and his two children, Paige and Cristian. Her brother David of Los Angeles and her sister Sally of Scottsdale, AZ and her husband Dennis Godsell of Garland, Texas. Connie and her family are active members of First Methodist Church of Garland. Her family is grateful for all the joy she brought them during her time on earth. She had a courageous spirit and a gift for laughter and enjoyed watching her family grow and become prosperous. The Lord is happy to get her.
