Robert Shan Splawn, age 46, passed away on December 8, 2017 in Virginia. He was born on June 19, 1971 in Dallas, TX.

He drove an 18 wheeler (mostly overweight and oversized loads) all over America. Robert was an avid fisherman, and dreamed of being a guide. He enjoyed dancing and used to play the guitar. He was an organ donor, and because of him a lot of people will get a wonderful Christmas this year. Robert was a giver and he is still giving.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Gale Clouse-Splawn; his father, Raymond George Splawn; his mother, Cynthia Sue Mosely; his stepfather, Sidney John Scott; his brother, Brian Keith Chappell; his stepsiblings George Michael Splawn, Raymond Splawn, Jimmy Vest, Charlie Scott, and Kathy Splawn; his nieces Ryann Chappell and Sydney Scott; and his nephews David, Colton, and Conner Chappell.

Robert recently met up with his high school sweetheart Susie Harris and was starting a happy new life with her and her children Garret, Emily, Bryleigh, and Laine Harris. He loved them all.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 14 at 2 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, TX.
