John Austin Green of Sunnyvale, Texas met his Lord and Savior on November 29, 2017 after long and good fight with Cardiac disease; however, cardiac diseasewas never able to take away the love and generosity his heart possessed, often helping anyone and everyone in need. John was born to CL and Bernice Green in 1954 in Pottsboro, Texas. John is survived by his wife Margie Green of Sunnyvale, Texas. Daughters Wendy Davenport of Rwanda, Africa and her spouse Eric Davenport along with their four children Brinson, Aiden, Sheldon, and Pierce Davenport. Daughter Ashley Green of Dallas, Texas. Daughter Amy Frye of Sunnyvale, Texas her spouse Ryan Frye and daughter Sadie Harper Frye. Also survived by a brother, sister, two sister in laws, a niece and a nephew. John was a strong, courageous, and determined man. He always tested the waters at least once and never gave up. He loved to work hard and in life was extremely successful. He proudly served on the Dallas Fire Department for 35 years where he retired as a Lieutenant. John also was an entrepreneur and was very proud that he had not one but two associates degrees. John could light up a room with laughter and sometimes shocked expressions too. The expressions usually were followed by an elaborate joke or surprise prank on his family. One thing everyone can agree on he was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of JA's Life will commence at 1PM on Saturday, December 2, at 365 Barnes Bridge Road in Sunnyvale, Texas. Interment will follow at the Lyons Cemetery directly across the road.
