Rita Blythe, 80 years young, of Dallas, Texas, passed away October 29, 2017 in Dallas.

She was born in Dallas to Karl and Brigida Johnson on March 1, 1937. Rita graduated from business college and worked at an insurance company for an number of years before returning to school to become a hairdresser. She remained a hairdresser until her strength was affected by illness. Rita also enjoyed playing the violin, painting, shopping with her sisters, organic food, exercising, the beach and fresh air. She was a member of Newman Park Christian Center in Dallas.

Rita is preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Darrin Blythe; and her brothers Karl Johnson, Jr., and Johnny (Floyd) Johnson; and her former husbands Robert Bridewell and Ferrell Blythe.

Rita is survived by: her children Mark Bridewell, Rex Bridewell, Monica (Mitchell) Grayson, Bridgette (Keith) Burger and Lea Blythe; her grandchildren Rick Parmenter, David Bridewell, Lauren Parmenter, Lindsey Parmenter, Nicole Grayson, Doug Choate, Jr., Dillon Shiplett, Jessica Shiplett and Trent Bridewell; ten great-grandchildren; her brothers David Johnson, Sam Johnson and Victor Johnson; and her sisters Toni Dojcsak and Elizabeth Miles.

More than anything, Rita loved Jesus and her family.She will be greatly missed and always loved.
