MARY HELEN SCOTT HUNT - DECEMBER 1, 1934 – OCTOBER 21, 2017

Mary Helen Scott Hunt was born on December 1, 1934 to William Benton Scott and Florence Elizabeth Arnett and passed away peacefully October 21, 2017 after a battle with cancer. Mary was the third of four siblings, Florence Stancliff, Margaret Davila, and Charles Scott, all have preceded her in death.

Mary was raised in South Texas where her parents were employed in the school district. After Mary graduated from high school she went on to nursing school at Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in San Antonio, now known as Baptist School of Health Professions and became a registered nurse dedicating her career to healing others. Mary loved people and had a nurse’s heart. Everyone who met her instantly fell in love with her quick wit and fun spirit. She met J.J. Hunt in 1959 at Oak Cliff Assembly of God where they only dated three weeks before they got engaged and married three months later, and have now been married for 58 years. They settled in Dallas, Texas where they raised their family. Mary Hunt is survived by her husband J.J.
