Billy Joe Darby,86 of Garland,Texas passed away on September 6, 2017.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Eastgate Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Eastgate Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Restland of Dallas cemetery. Arrangements are by Eastgate Funeral Home.

Billy Joe Darby was born in Dallas, Texas to Kelly and Rosa Darby. He went to school in Dallas, Texas. He married Glenzell Stearman on January 21, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a Building Manager for the city of Dallas for a number of years. He recently celebrated 50 years as a Mason with the Masonic Lodge of Grand Saline, Texas.

Billy Joe Darby was preceded in death by daughter Martha Rose, Mother and Father, Rosa and Kelly. Sister Helen, and three brothers; Earl, Harold and James.

Billy Joe Darby is survived by spouse Glenzell Darby. Two sons, Billy Glen and Rodger Darby. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Stearman, David Darby, Lisa Darby Wilson, Amy Darby Smallwood, Billy Smallwood and Tyler Smallwood.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.
