Esther Guillen Gonzalez died peacefully in her home in Garland, Texas on August 25, 2017. Mrs. Gonzalez was born on January 25, 1925 In Brownsville, Texas to parents Jesus and Juanita Guillen.

A graduate of Brownsville H.S. in 1942. She married Carlos G. Gonzalez in 1950. They resided in Brownsville and opened a lumber yard and construction business in 1963 which they managed for 34 years. Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her daughter Gloria(Jesus) Collazo, daughter Thelma Ridley, also her son Carlos(Teresa) Gonzalez Jr.,numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Juanita, brother Jesus, and son-in-law David. Viewing will take place at Eastgate Funeral Home on September1st, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Gonzalez will be buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett following the service.
