Eugene Jericho born April 20, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri passed away on June 3, 2014. He went into the Army Air Corp at the age of 17 to become a flying instructor until the end of WWII. He then graduated from SMU Law School and joined the Strasburger, Price Law Firm where he practiced for 45 years. Gene served several legal organizations locally and nationally. In the American Bar Association, he served as chairman of committee on Aviation, Aeronautical Law and Multidistrict Litigation. He was a chairman of The American College of Trial Lawyers legal services, an officer of the International Association of Defense Council, defense research institute. He was chairman of the aviation committee for the Dallas and Texas State Bar. He served on the board of directors of the Dallas Bar Association. He was on the Board of Overseers of the RAND Corporation and Dallas Chamber of Commerce executive committee. He spent a great deal of time in England working with Lloyds of London. A special area in the library at SMU Law School is named the Eugene Jericho Air Law Library Section. Eugene loved his good food and was a long time member of the Chaine des Rotisseurs. He loved fine wine and had an extensive wine collection that he loved sharing with anyone who had an interest. He played tennis with passion well into his 70s and loved spending time with his family at their lake house. He loved building in his workshop. Eugene was a gifted well-respected attorney, loving father and devoted husband. Predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Milton Jericho and his brother Jerry Jericho. Survived by his loving wife, of 61 years Mary Ellen Mitchell Jericho, children Bonnie Baldwin and husband Bob, Jennifer Capezio and husband Joe, and Judy Eastman, grandchildren Robert and Ryan Baldwin, Nicholas and Gianna Capezio Morgan and Bryan Eastman and nieces Caroline Dodwell and Jane Guerrini. The family wants to sincerely thank the caregivers that allowed him to live in his home, with his wife for the last 6 months of his life. There will be a memorial service at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Ave, Dallas, TX.
