Louis C. Beavers, age 94 of Garland, Texas, a devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away on Saturday June 17, 2017. His adoring family and many friends will miss him dearly. His loving wife of 42 years, Jane Ann Beavers preceded him in death in 2006. Lou served the U.S. Navy in WWII and after receiving his degree from SMU in 1950, he served again in the Korean War until 1952. He was a Quartermaster and former Commander of VFW Post 6796 in Dallas and was actively involved in Veteran's Affairs for over 30 years. Five sons and four daughter in-laws survive him: Bruce & Thea Beavers, Jack and Carol Beavers, Larry & Tina Beavers, Rick Beavers and Liliana Beavers along with 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as, his companion of many years, Sheila Alexander.Funeral services for Louis will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday June 27. 2017 at the White Rock Methodist Church at 1450 Old Gate Lane in Dallas, Texas 75218.
