Judith Ann Malin

Judith (Landers) Malin, 77, of Plano, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from an acute coronary event. A memorial service and mass will be held at The Church of the Holy Nativity on Saturday, June 10th at 5:00pm. The Reverend, Father Garrin W. Dickinson will be officiating. Burial of Ashes and Reception immediately following.Judy was born on March 14, 1940. As a teenager, she loved to sing & dance, played clarinet and she enjoyed playing basketball. Judy graduated from Plano High School in 1958. She attended The University of Texas where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, marched in the UT Band and sang in a chorale group. In 1961, Judy was crowned Miss Plano.

Judy was married to Daniel R. Malin on January 5, 1962. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Houston and started their family. After Dan graduated from Rice University, they moved to Florida. One of Judy's favorite work experiences was in Miami, Florida at the National Republican Convention in 1968. She enjoyed golf and was an avid bridge player.Judy is survived by her three children, Kym Malin, Angela(Geoff) Knautz and Ross(Charity) Malin; her seven grandchildren: Kyle-22, Sophie & Jordan-15, Roman-14, Troy-9, Vlad-8, and Jade-3; her sister: Lisa(Chuck) Nordmeyer of Plano; and two nephews, and the rest of her family and friends.Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Chester H. And Christine Landers, longtime residents of Plano. The family of Judith Malin wishes to thank Eastgate Funeral Home as well as Holy Nativity Episcopal Church.
