Howard Byars

1950-2017

Howard passed on May 18,2017 in Sulphur Springs. He was born in Amarillo, but lived much of his life in Garland. After 40 yrs with Kroger, he retired to the country life.

He is survived by his wife Babette, son Douglas, daughters Angela and Tammy, and sister Ellen.

His interests ranged from motorcycle mechanics to gunsmithing. His competitive spirit led him to powerlifting where he set state, national and world records.

His passion was being outdoors. He bred horses, raised cattle. He loved wild life viewing "hunting" especially on his own land, The Circle B.

Howard was a wise and gentle man with a good sense of humor. He always put other people's needs first. He leaves us with many rich memories. He will be missed.

The service was May 24 at the Eastgate Funeral Home.
