Russell Keith Vaught, 66, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 25, 2017, after a battle with esophageal, stomach and liver cancer.

Russell Vaught was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 21, 1950. He was raised in the Pleasant Grove and Dallas area in Texas as a teenager along with his 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He wasn’t able to graduate high school but did work soon into his teenage years for his father and eventually settled on the business of remodeling homes and becoming a foreman. He worked for Gatlin Properties for nearly 30 years at the time of his passing. His passion for his job was evident throughout everything he did from being “the artist” to being a tough, informative and respected foremen.

Russell was married to Judith Weast-Vaught in February of 1984 and was married to her for over 30 years at the time of her passing.

Russell is survived by his 2 children Phillip Damon Vaught and Jennifer Dian Vaught, granddaughter Rowan Quinn Vaught, sisters Ann Vaught and Louise Janek, and his brothers Jerry Howard Vaught, Kenneth Lee Vaught, Marshall Ray Vaught, Tommy Michael Vaught, and Terry Vaught.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife Judith Dian Weast-Vaught, his parents Thomas Sterling Vaught and Dorothy Louise Mackey Vaught, and his two brothers Thomas Ray Vaught and Jimmy Wayne Vaught.
