February 18, 2014 Billy L. Quarles, age 89, lived in Corsicana, Texas. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII, a member of the United Methodist Church in Alpine, Texas, the Past Master of the Alpine Masonic Lodge and the Past High Priest of York Rite in Alpine, Texas. He retired from the Dallas Fire Department in 1977 after 26 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera Quarles and Peggy Wagner Quarles. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Q. Stone, his sons John H. Quarles and his wife Diane, Norvell Ricky Quarles and his wife Yvonne, and David W. Quarles, his 11 grandchildren, and his step-daughters Debbie McKinney and Cindy Higgins. There will be a visitation Thursday evening February 20th from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel in Garland and a 10:00 a.m. graveside at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas Friday February 21st.
