Deborah "Debbie" Helen Kenny, age 59, of Garland, Texas, passed away April 28, 2014 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born November 4, 1954 in El Paso, Texas to William George and Dorothy Jane Thoirs. Debbie was a member of First Baptist Church Garland. She enjoyed reading, playing board games and cards, and scrapbooking. Debbie loved to travel, but most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ken Thoirs. She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Joseph "Joe" Kenny; three daughters, Dawn Conine and her husband, Luther, Pattie Kenny and Barbie Kenny and her fianc?e, J.D. McWhorter; sister, Patti Thompson and her husband, Dean; brother, Bill Thoirs and his wife, Linda; eight grandchildren, Joey, Billy, Wyatt, Caitlyn, Cameron, Winston, Kirsten, and John; nieces and nephews, Beau, Khrisi, Missi, Beth, Tammy, David, and Tina; and numerous other family members. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Eastgate Funeral Home. Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 2, 2014 at Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel, 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, Texas 75041. Chaplain Dave George officiating. Interment will follow in Garland Memorial Park, Garland, Texas.
