Ms. Ann Marie (Holwerda) Roman of Plano, Texas passed away at the age of 65 on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

Ann was born in Grand Rapids, MI. She moved to Dallas, TX with her family at the age of 19. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25 years in Richardson, TX. Her most important job was being a loving and devoted mother to her two children. Her hobbies included a love of reading, traveling to Maine, cross stitching, and most of all, spending time with her beloved grandsons.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and Harvey Holwerda, and her niece, Sarah Holwerda. She is survived by her two children, Sam Roman of Garland, TX and Katie (Roman) Armstrong of Plano, TX; two grandsons Wyatt Roman and Fisher Armstrong; her sisters and brothers, Margie Dzenowski, Mary Leonard, Terri Jordan, George Holwerda, and John Holwerda; and 12 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the home of her daughter on Saturday, March 5th from 2pm to 4pm. This will be an “open door” service for friends and family to come together to remember Ann.
