Rory Jason Salisbury, 44, of Garland, TX, passed away onFebruary 5, 2016.

Rorywas born inPhoenix, ArizonaonJuly 15, 1971. Rory loved aviation and began his career in aircraft dispatch and dispatch training in 2000. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing and called Alaska, where he lived most of his life, his true home.

Roryis survived byhis wife Sandy, stepfather John Behrends (Betty Ann), brothers Jim Salisbury and Troy Behrends, sisters Rochelle Jones and Della Lane, nieces Megan Worthey, Jennifer Behrends, Stephanie Lane and Kristina Lane, nephews TJ Salisbury and Josiah Walton, as well as many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland James Salisbury, mother, Arlene Marie Behrends and best friend, Chuck Schmitz.

Memorial donations may be sent toThe Wounded Warriors Project. Rory always supported our troops both abroad and at home for their sacrifices to protect our country.

A private service will be held in Nabesna, Alaska in June.
