Brenda Gaynell Roberts

Brenda Gaynell Roberts was born September 12, 1947 to Mary Jeanette Hamby Roberts and Edgar Roberts. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 15, 2016 surrounded by prayers and praises from her family and church family. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Stephen Roberts, and sister Patricia Roberts. Brenda is survived by her sister Kathy Roberts Buskirk, Ed Buskirk Jr., nephews Ed Buskirk III, Kimberly Buskirk, Heath Roberts, Penni Roberts, and Brent Roberts. Her nieces and nephews (Casey Buskirk, Megan Buskirk, Nathaniel Buskirk, Savannah Buskirk, Isabella Stevenson, Hannah Roberts, and Addison Buskirk) were treated as the grandchildren she never had.

Brenda led a life of service to others. While traveling the world with her banking employment, she visited many foreign lands including a trip to the Holy Land. Her witness throughout these years changed lives in the banking business. Over the last 10 years she has been an employee of Mesquite Assembly of God Church. She told her sister Kathy many times what a great blessing God had given her the day she began her work there. Brenda served her church in many ways over the years from working with young children to leading the Single’s Group.

Brenda will be treasured in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a true Child of God.Memorial service will be Friday February 19, 2016 at 6:30pm at Mesquite First Assembly of God.

I am a friend of Brenda's living sister Kathy Buskirk. I have had the privilege of knowing Kathy's two sisters Pat and Brenda. And I am happy to say it is an honor knowing these three sisters. It was always such a joy being around the three of them when they were together. To see the love they had for each other and the love they had for d. Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss and I know you will miss Brenda as much as you miss Pat. But you know they are in heaven with angels and many others. You will see them again. Brenda you will be missed. Pam Gilmam
