Alvin Lee Frye

Alvin “Al” Lee Frye of Wylie, Texas was welcomed into Heaven at the age of 77 on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 4:40 p.m. after a lengthy stay at Methodist Richardson Medical Center.

Born to Kenneth and Mazie Frye on September 9, 1938 in Williamson, West Virginia, Al spent his younger years in West Virginia and Ohio then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. After serving his country, he became a salesman, and in 1965, married his first wife, Eileen Covey. They had two sons, eventually moved to Texas, and for twenty years, owned and operated Access Couriers. He was a member of the board at The Life Church in Dallas, and for many years touched people through his active participation in the church. Several years after Eileen’s death in 2005, he met and married his second wife, Chloe Johanson.

Al is survived by his wife, Chloe; his son Brian and wife Amanda; his son Victor; his two step-children, Carlyle John “CJ” and Julie; his grandchildren, Kyle and wife Natalie, their three children: Kyle Christian “KC”, Ethan, and Aubrey; Alicia and husband Albert, their two children: Donavin and Nylah; Victor, Jr. “JR”; Ashley; Austin and wife Brenna; Jonathan; Devin and wife Jolina; and Brianna. The oldest of thirteen Frye/Robinette children, he leaves his brothers Kenny, Andrew, Mark, Chester, and Chuck; and his sisters Debbie, El, and Vivian.

He is preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Eileen; his parents Kenneth Frye and Mazie Frye Robinette; his stepfather Chester Robinette; his brother John; and sisters Pat, Cookie, and Betty.

His life will be remembered and honored on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at The Life Church, 18610 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX 75287, Bishop V. A. Guidroz presiding.
