Charles Roscoe Allen was born on July 07, 1927, in Waxahachie Texas. He died on December 9, 2015 in Rockwall TX. He attended school in Waxahachie, Texas. After leaving school he worked at Consolidated Aircraft Corp. building B24-Liberator bombers. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1946 to May of 1947. After leaving the U.S. Army he went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone where met Marietta Jean Green. They were married on January 1, 1949. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone on February 17, 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Ima Allen and his wife of 59 years, Marietta. He is survived by two sons: Leslie Keith and wife Betty Allen of Rockwall, TX; and Kevin Ray Allen of Edgewood, TX, five grandchildren: Lance Wayne Allen of Rockwall TX; Misty Renee and husband Jay Lilly of Joaquin TX; Jerrod Charles and wife Elizabeth Allen of Seney, MI; Jonathan Ray Allen and Jacob Christopher Allen of Edgewood TX, eight great grandchildren, and one sister Betty Lou Sawyer of Waxahachie TX.
