Carroll M. McCown, born September 20, 1941 in San Diego, California to Joseph & Janelle McCown and passed away September 23, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas. He is survived by wife, Sara McCown of Mesquite, TX, daughters Jan Duran of Mesquite, TX; Katherine McCown of Mesquite, TX; Crystal Beheler and husband Jerrod Beheler of Wylie, TX; son Jake McCown of Austin, TX; grandsons Chad Carter of Ferris, TX; Cody Duran of Ferris, TX; granddaughters Sara Duran of Ferris, TX; Alexandria Beheler of Wylie, TX; Tyler Simpson of Mesquite, TX; great-granddaughter Gracie Carter of Red Oak, TX. Carroll dedicated his teenage and adult years as an Automotive Mechanic, supporting his family, befriending strangers and serving as a Master Mason of The Mesquite Lodge No 928 since 1976. He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren, spoiling with them with cookies and candy. His favorite football team was The Dallas Cowboys, as he never missed a game! Although old school in his own way and lived by "tough love" he taught his kids how to do it for themselves and develop their own independence at a young age. He financially lead the family and worked hard to support a family of 6 on one income, which was truly miraculous. May he rest in eternal paradise. Memorial Services for Carroll M. McCown are to be determined at a later date, upon receiving his ashes. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Eastgate Funeral Home 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, Texas 75041.
