Linda Margaret Thompson

Linda Margaret Thompson, 67, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, in her home in Garland, TX. with family members by her side. She was born on February 29, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, TX. She was the sixth of 9 children. She is survived by her sons Michael Foster and wife Annette of Garland TX; Brent Foster of Garland, TX; Granddaughters Shelby, Sarah and Megan. Brothers James & Joyce Thompson, Murry & Beverly Thompson; Neal & Jan Thompson; Sisters, Alice & Ray Young; Ann Bain; Jan Potter; Karen & Joe Whitley and Martha & Steve Mohon; and close personal friend, Sue Kyte. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. She loved spending time with family members and her animals. She also loved to do projects around her home. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday September 26, 2015 at Eastgate Funeral Home, 910 Eastgate Dr., Garland, TX 75041. In lieu of flowers, since she loved animals, please make a donation to Operation Kindness (a no kill animal shelter) in her honor.

I find this very difficult to do since I have so many memories of Linda particularly when she lived here in Georgia for a short time. I've always known Linda to always see the bright side of everything. Always positive and unassuming. Yes, she loved animals and when she lived in Georgia, Gretchen was her baby. I've also always known Linda to speak so highly of her children and grand kids. Another thing I will always remember about Linda is that she never let money, possessions, or the like rob her of the joys of life and what life had to offer.These things were always secondary to her and her outlook on life. Although I will miss her greatly, the memories will will never away. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven Linda where we will have more time to talk about the memories.
