Refugio Reynaldo Pesina

Refugio Reynaldo Pesina (Rufus), 62, passed away with his family by his side August 24, 2015, in Dallas, Texas. Rufus was born March 24, 1953, in Hereford, Texas to Domingo Ortiz Pesina and Catarina De Los Santos Pesina. He and his wife, Melinda, have been married for over 30 years. She has stood by his side through sickness and health as she vowed to do those years ago. Life gave them each other and they were each other's life. They share a special love that will always live on. Together they have two children, Christopher and Monica. He was an extremely hard worker and dedicated to his business. He was owner and operator of Pesina Perfection Painting and Remodeling. The name says it all, he was a perfectionist. Rufus worked solely off of referrals from his customers who were always left overly satisfied. He worked up until his body wouldn't allow him to work anymore. Upon leaving the construction field, Rufus enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports. As you may know, he was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan in the state of Texas. You could always find him kicked back in his chair watching the Cowboys or Rangers ball game or occasionally a comedy or game show. He loved to laugh and you would rarely see him without a smile on his face, unless his Boys were losing. And he did all this with none other than his furry best friend, Star. Above anything else, his family is what meant the most to Rufus. The highlight of his day was picking up his grandchildren from elementary school and, of course, loading them up with Race Trac goodies before bringing them home. When he was unable to pick them up, they always made sure they were taken by his house to check on their Pipa and hug his neck. He is survived by his beloved wife, Melinda Pesina; his son and spouse, Christopher and Presley Pesina; daughter, Monica Pesina; his grandchildren Ralphy, Chris, Raylee, and Evalyn; daughter, Veronica Pesina; son, Rufus Pesina Jr.; daughter, Amy Worth; son, Clynt Breeding; sister, Elizabeth Mendoza; sister, Dora Perez; brother, Domingo Pesina; brother, Martin Pesina; 16 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends that we may have failed to mention.
