Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards, born January 17, 1945 to the parents of Emma Dora and Jack Edwards.  Robert departed this life on February 17, 2025.  He is preceded in death by his parents; Emma Dora and Jack Edwards; Brothers: Douglas and Andrew; Sister: Gloria.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Daughter: Letrich (Roderick) Gainer of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Sons: Robert Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, FL., and Patrick Chark of Texas; Sisters: Dora Dean Wardsworth of Louisiana; Linda Lawrence of Illinois; Jennifer (James) Snowden of Louisiana; Brother: Michael (Gloria) of Rowlett, Texas; a host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.

Robert served and retired after 20 years in the United States Air Force. He retired at the rank of Tech Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War and had tours in Spain, England, New Mexico, Louisiana and Maryland.  After retirement from the Air Force, Robert worked at the Federal Building in Dallas, Dallas Public Schools and Southern Methodist University.

 

Robert’s Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 23: 1-4

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

 

The family of Robert Edwards wishes to express our sincere appreciation to everyone for your kind expressions of love shown during this time. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you. Whatever part, your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

I still can't believe that Edward is gone He never been a brother -in- law to us always,a brother we loved him so much my last conversation with him was to come to Alexandria and see everyone I can see Madea saying to Edward now Edward my son come on in Welcome home he always addressed her as Mrs Katherine or Madea he will always be loved and remembered in our heart. The Chark Family
