Charlotte Ruth Hudson Hayes passed away on October 9, 2026 at the age of 76. She was born on November 18, 1949.
She was preceded in death by her father James Clyde Hudson and her mother Annie Mildred Bates Hudson and son Timothy James Holley. Also brother Donald Hudson, sisters Betty Rhodes and Martha Duck, brother-in-law Joe Paul Granberry, husband Jerry Holley and husband Jimmy Hayes.
She is survived by daughter Amy Kirkpatrick and husband Joel, daughter Lesa Holley and wife Diana Morrison, daughter Angie Herrera and husband Chris and daughter Lesley Holley. Granddaughter Presley Arthur and husband Brandon, grandson Joel Kirkpatrick, and granddaughter Ella Grace Morrison-Holley. Great grandson Tripp Arthur and great granddaughter Hartlynn Arthur. Sisters Marilyn Corder and husband JP, and Carolyn Granberry, brothers Bobby Hudson and wife Brenda, Bubba Hudson and wife Wanda, and numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1968 and Panola Jr. College. She was a foster parent for 7 years with many children of different ages in and out of her home. She worked at Teen Challenge Ranch in Pickton with troubled boys, Holy Highway Girls Home in Pickton with troubled girls, East Texas Crisis Center in Tyler and Chandler First Assembly. One of her favorite things to do was to go drag racing with Jimmy and friends. She was his crew chief and warmed up the car before the race. She gave her heart to God at camp when she was 10. Although she failed God many times, He always accepted her requests for mercy. She is now in heaven with Jesus her Savior and family and friends. In lieu of flowers money can be given to the East Texas Crisis Center in Tyler.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
