Anna Joy “Kunjumol” (Wife of Late Joy Oonnoonny)
Born on March 23, 1950, in Kerala, India, Anna Joy was the
daughter of Late Mathai and Thankamma Koshy of Thekkevilayil
House, Kaithaparampu. She was the second of eight children in
her family.
Anna began her career as a dedicated schoolteacher at
Chennithala High School in Kerala. On October 30, 1972, she
married Joy Oonnoonny, and together they raised three children in
the Christian faith. In 1995, the family moved to the United States,
where Anna continued to live a life centered on love, faith, and
service.
She was an active and cherished member of St. Thomas Orthodox
Church in Dallas, Texas. Known for her warm and welcoming
nature, Anna touched the lives of many through her kindness,
hospitality, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted wife, a loving
mother, and grandmother.
Anna is survived by her children: Teena, Tony, Tijo, Biju, Bincy,
and Geena. She is also remembered by her grandchildren:
Bernice, Blessy, Nicholas, Josiah, Luke, and Liam. Her life was a
testament to love, strength, and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
