Robert Burton Burchett, 69, of Balch Springs, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2026 at UTSW Hospital. Robert Burton Burchett was born on January 14, 1957 in Dallas, Texas, to Harold Edward Burchett and Sarah Elizebelle Caplinger.  He was a 1975 graduate of Seagoville High School.  He married his lifelong friend, Debra Jean Rogers, on Valentine’s Day 1976.  His greatest love and achievement was becoming a granddad to his beloved grandchildren. Robert served as the minister of music at Bethlehem Baptist Church for 25 years, and served as preacher for the next 5 years. He poured many years of passion and dedication into the Seagoville Youth Sports Association serving as both a baseball coach and the baseball commissioner for 7 years.  Robert is survived by his wife, Debra; two sons, Robert Jr and wife Monica, and Aaron, and two grandchildren, Kason and Rachel, along with numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Keith Burchett, two sisters, Linda Jean, and Nancy Ramer, and one great nephew, Kyle Duke. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9-11 at Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.  A graveside service will be held later that day at 2:00 PM at the Gober Cemetery in Gober, Texas.   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help with Robert’s final expenses.
