Marcia D. Logan

Marcia Logan was born on July 29, 1935 in Malone, Flordia, where she lived with her parents and twin sister, Margie. They lived in Slocomb, Alabama for many years and moved briefly to Georgia, where she met and married her husband, Howard, while he was in the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. They moved to Texas in 1954 and to Garland, in 1962. Howard and Marcia have 3 children: Marcia Osborne, Donna Bohlen and Mark Logan, all of Garland. There are three grandchildren: Natalie Osborne, Will Bohlen and Lauren Osborne, whom she loved and doted on. Mom came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and served the Lord as faithfully as her health would allow through the years. She is currently a member of Rodgers Baptist Church, and was formerly with New Liberty Baptist Church, where she was active in the Ruth Circle. Mom loved and raised puppies for many years, especially beagles. In fact, there was seldom a time when the children and grandchildren could visit without having the pleasure of holding a puppy. Mom made a mean dressing and banana pudding! Everything else, no comment! (She did try!) Mom had a love for clothes and shopping. She never passed a garage sale without checking it out. She loved to collect angels, lighthouses, milk glass and blue/white ceramics and crystal, and everything else. We even found our baby teeth she had kept in a drawer. She told us that she lived in the same house for 47 years, and that she was leaving our inheritance there for us to find, along with the Christmas presents that got lost in the junk room. She was proud of all her children and bragged on us all, even if we didn't deserve it! She was glad to see all of her children and grandchildren graduate from high school, college, Master's Programs (Natalie) and Doctorate (Donna). She loved everyone and never met a stranger. She loved to talk and tell stories, and was well loved by her friends. We always loved to hear stories of her childhood with her sister and their mischievous antics. Even though she so limited by her health, especially in her latter years, she loved life and her family.
