Joshua Michael Bearden

Joshua Michael Bearden, 27, journeyed home on February 5, 2022, in Garland, Texas. Josh, born in San Diego, California, was relocated at age 2 to the Garland area with his family until the tender age of 12. The Family established roots in the Rockwall/Royse City area where Joshua attended and graduated High School. Josh remained attached to the Garland where he returned and settled as a young adult. He lived an adventurous life and did all that he wanted to do, which he expressed on numerous occasions. Josh had a heart larger than life and expressed himself creatively through art, drama and music. He was quick witted and enjoyed a good laugh. He was recognized for his artistic gifts early in life and proved to be a writer/ poet through his lyrics. He was the life of the party but did not like to be the center of attention. He was genuine and honest which made him a magnet for people. He took the time to learn about people and who they were and took a sincere interest in their life journeys. Josh had a heart for children as well, and was a supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. During Christmas he would ask for his gifts to be given to the needy children in the city as he had no need for material things. Josh would often ride his skateboard down the street and stop for those less fortunate and give them what he had and listen for a while. He was selfless, generous, and cared for humanity deeply. Left to cherish Josh's memory are: his parents, Joseph Edward Bearden and Gloria Ann Bearden; two brothers, Joseph Edward Bearden II and Jonathan Stephen Bearden; his maternal grandmother, Gilma G. Salinas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and the countless people he impacted while on this earth. "When the power of love outweighs the love of power, the world will know peace. " -- Bob Marley
