Daniel Beltran passed away quietly August 5, 2021, at the age of 91 years old. He was surrounded with love and family a testimony of God's Peace and Grace. Dad was born in Oruro, Bolivia, South America on July 19, 1930 to Guillermo Beltran and Benancia Mujica Castillo. He also had three sisters: Lucia Beltran Loza, Barbara Margarita Beltran Mujica Viuda de Cespedes and Celcilia Beltran Mujica Viuda de Tapia. His father Guillermo passed away when Daniel was five years old. His mother put him and his sisters to Hogar Penny, a Catholic orphanage for schooling and a better life since Bolivia had no government programs for military widows. He attended college in Bolivia and received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He was also a practicing Baptist and liked to go to church. Daniel came to America in 1956, sponsored by his sister, Lucia Beltran Lopez who was a Registered Nurse, and started life here in America as a fast-food employee. He later became a Manager at McDonald's and went on to work at other fast-food restaurants such as Wendy's, Church's Chicken and Taco Cabana. Daniel won numerous awards in his various employments, including Best Customer Service, Best Manager and #1 Store. He met and married Leandra Maria Caballero Aquirre in Flint, Michigan, in 1960 and had five wonderful children: Rachel Ann; Margaret Diane and spouse Rodney Dodge; Daniel William and spouse Lena; Frederick Walter and spouse Shannon; and Lucia Victoria. They moved to Dallas in 1981 with family. Daniel divorced Leandra Marie (who later became Leandra Marie Garcia) but remained friends for their childrens' sake. Daniel lived in Garland and Mesquite during this time. Daniel definitely loved hanging out with family. He also enjoyed family events, going to church, fishing, the beach, Wildwood and Bluebell in Michigan and especially Cocoa Beach, Florida. Daniel also loved traveling to California, Florida and Bolivia (to see his sisters and family). In addition, he loved helping the family with fixing cars, building things, coaching and playing soccer in Michigan. Daniel's two favorite football teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Michigan Wolverines. When Daniel retired, he got involved in Carver Senior Center as a Treasurer and a Senior Activist. Daniel also became good at playing pool and cards while enjoying the Center's benefits. Daniel enjoyed keeping up with his numerous grandchildren: Robert and spouse Katrina, Richard, Dominic, Christopher and spouse Patricia, Alexandria, Joseph, Tiffney, Daniel, the twins Annie and Abbie and fiancé José, Kannon and Kory. His great-grandchildren include Brianna, Julissa, Alex, Bobby, Skyler, Layla, Sebastian and Ella. Many friends also survive Daniel. His family extends thanks to his children and his caregiver Lynn Jambo who helped care for him at the end of his life. Daniel Beltran taught his family honor, truthfulness, honesty, loyalty, work ethics and faith in God. Our father will be greatly missed by all his family here in America, Bolivia and Argentina for the remainder of our lives and eternity. "Say no in grief. He is no more but in thankfulness he was!"
