Howard Glenn Logan

Howard Glenn Logan was born in Wood County Texas' Rouser Community on May 6, 1929 to James Ernest and June Harris Logan. He went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020 at age 91, after an extended illness. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at 10 years of age. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marcia Culverhouse Logan, parents, sister Sybil Faye, and brother Alton. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Marcia Logan Osborne and husband David, Donna Logan Bohlen and Howard Mark Logan; and three grandchildren: Natalie Osborne Gedikli and husband Max, William Bohlen, Lauren Osborne Reasor and husband Rad; brother Bill Logan, and a host of nieces and nephews. He served in the Army at Ft. Rucker in Georgia during the Korean Conflict, where he was trained as a tank driver. This is where he met his wife, Marcia. They married in 1953 living in Dallas, Texas. They moved to Garland in 1963 where they lived there over 50 years and raised their family. He worked as a truck driver for Frito Lay, as a receiver at TransCon, and other freight lines until his retirement. He worked up to four jobs at a time to provide for his family. Daddy enjoyed hunting rabbits and racoons with his beagles. He also raised beagle puppies for at least 40 years, selling them to generations of beagle lovers. The kids and grandkids always had puppies to love on. Following the loss of his wife, he moved to McAllen, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley with his daughter Donna, until his death. He loved living in the Valley, the people, and the climate. He especially enjoyed seeing what fruits and vegetables were growing each season. It reminded him of his childhood in the country.
