Kathleen Oguerita "Grita" Barton, 91, passed away January 18, 2020 at home after suffering a massive stroke on Dec. 30, 2019 and was surrounded by family at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Barton, daughter Beverly Sue Williams, parents Odie and Lon Rogers and sister Pauline Barnett. She is survived by daughter Jerri Mote, grandson Christopher Mote and wife Robin, grandson Cory Williams and wife Rachael. Also surviving are great grandchildren Jacqueline, Travis, Gavin, Gracie, Conner, Hudson and Ben. She had a healthy life and was very active until her stroke. She was a member of the Christian Church and enjoyed cooking family dinners and was very meticulous about her home and gardening. Grita will be cherished and missed by all who knew and loved her.
