Victor Anton Sartoris Jr.
October 8, 1930 – March 24, 2025
Victor Anton Sartoris Jr. was born on October 8, 1930, in Gary, Indiana. A proud United States Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War, Victor dedicated his life to his country, his family, and his faith. He married the love of his life, Lucille “Lu” Sartoris, and together they built a beautiful life in Garland, Texas, where they resided for 68 years.
Victor passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, at the age of 94. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—lovingly known as “Grandaddy” to those closest to him.
He is survived by his son, Victor Sartoris III, and daughter-in-law Sheila Sartoris; his two cherished granddaughters, Hailey Sartoris and Chelsie Odle-Manley and her husband Justin Odle-Manley; and two precious great-grandchildren, Hadley Odle-Manley and Justin Odle-Manley Jr.
Victor is also survived by his brother Dave Sartoris and his wife Kate Sartoris, as well as his sister Margaret McVay. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who brought him great joy throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Lu Sartoris; his mother, Margaret Sartoris; his father, Victor Sartoris Sr.; and many dear family members and friends who welcomed him with open arms.
Victor was a man of quiet strength, deep love, and endless devotion. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he adored.
Rest in peace, Grandaddy. You will be deeply missed.
