IN LOVING MEMORY OF P.J. PHILIP
P.J. Philip was born on January 25, 1944, in Vadasserikkara, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, India, to the late Mr. Thomas Joseph & Mrs. Mariamma Joseph. He was one of eight sons and had three sisters. Growing up in a large and loving family, the values of faith, unity, and hard work were deeply instilled in him from an early age.
Philip pursued his education with a deep commitment to both his faith and personal growth. He first attended IPC Hebron Bible College in Kumbanad, India where he laid the foundation for his lifelong spiritual journey. He furthered his theological education at Berean Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Bangalore, India. Philip had a deep appreciation for spiritual music, which was a defining aspect of his personality. His love for these songs reflected his inner values and connection to his faith. Philip married the late Mrs. Thankamma Philip in 1973. They moved to the United States in 1974 and worked diligently to raise and support their two children, Shiney and Finey. During this time, Philip also excelled in his career, with his most successful years of service at Texas Instruments in Dallas. Philip’s remarriage took place in 2008 to Daisy Philip.
On the morning of September 13, 2024, Philip peacefully departed this life and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Philip, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His absence leaves a lasting void in the lives of those fortunate enough to have shared in his warmth and kindness.
