Norma Jean Chambers, passed
peacefully into the arms of her Savior on
August 23 rd, 2024, at the age of 92.
Norma was born in Dallas, Texas to
Herbert and Rosie Shaver on March 2nd,
1932. Lovingly known as Ma to her family,
she lived a full life of unwavering faith, and
boundless love for her family and friends.
Her faith was the foundation of her life,
guiding her and sharing the love of Jesus
to those around her.
Norma’s carreer included working with
special needs children at CDC in Garland
and as a teacher’s aide for Garland ISD.
Ma was known for her love of family and
her ability to make you feel loved and
cared for, as well.
Preceded in death by her parents, her
husband CW Chambers, her son Gary
Chambers, and brothers Edward, HT, Roy,
John and Palmer. She is survived by her
children Clifford Chambers and Sharon
Thornton, her 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews.
Norma’s memory will forever be a blessing
to all who knew her.
A celebration of Norma's life will be held
Friday, August 30th, 2024, at 10am at
Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland,
Texas with Gary Bingham officiating.
