On May 7, 2023, Leelamma Thomas Cherumadakala passed away peacefully at the age of seventy-five surrounded by family. Leelamma, the third child of Mariamma and Cherian Joseph Mallathusseril, was born in Chingavanam Kottayam, India. She received her nursing degree from Canadian Baptist Mission Hospital in Pithapuram, Andhrapradesh, in 1970. She moved to Bihar and worked at Bokaro Steel City Limited Hospital in 1972. In 1974, she married her beloved husband and together they raised their three children. In 1981, she moved to New York and worked at Goldwater Memorial Hospital and Seaview Hospital. She lived in New York with her family for 32 years until she relocated to McKinney, Texas in 2013.

Leelamma was an active member of the Church and Prayer group. She was profoundly spiritual and gentle in nature. Leelamma was a compassionate and selfless soul who was known for her smile. She was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and friends. Her happiness was serving others with kindness and humility.

Leelamma is survived by her husband Kurian Thomas Cherumadakala, her children, Flaimy and Dn. Ajish Abraham, Flency and Roni Abraham, Flamin and Sheena Thomas, and her grandchildren, Isabella, Kayla, Avery, Abigail, Elijah, Naomi, and Olivia." />
