Tamra Leigh Kempf, age 49 of Rowlett, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. She was born in Warwick, Rhode Island on March 7, 1964. Tammy was an active member of Meadowview Church of Christ where she was involved in the joy bus ministry and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Family and friends were Tammy's passion and delight. She shined the light of Jesus to all of those around her. She became a strong motherly figure and inspiration to many young children in the community. The most precious treasurer to Tammy's heart was God and her family. Her husband, Darrell Kempf, was her soul mate and best friend. She enjoyed spending every moment she could with her husband, children, and grand children. She enjoyed reading romance novels, scrap booking, writing recipes, and watching movies with her family. Tammy is preceded in death by her grand parents, Leonard and Luvon Tharp, and Hugh and Hazel Hardie. She is survived in death by her Husband, Darrell Kempf, Father, Michael Tharp, Mother and Father in Law, John and Ozella Lipscomb, Daughter, Chasity Thompson and husband Jeffrey Thompson, Son, Quaint Kempf and wife Jamie Kempf Daughter, Stacy Gonzalez and husband Gabriel Gonzalez, Son, Darrell Kempf, Jr., Grand children, David Dennis, Dylan Dennis, Amanda Thompson, Alicia Dennis, Jordan Kempf, and London Kempf, Brother, Marty Tharp, Aunt, Carolyn Cadell, and Nieces, Heather and Tiffany Tharp. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Tammy's viewing will be held at the Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland, Texas on July 7, 2013 from 6pm-8pm. Memorial services will be held at Meadowview Church of Christ in Mesquite, Texas on July 8, 2013 at 11am.
