Willie M. Grubbs

Willie Mae Grubbs Born December 6, 1939 in Van Alstyne, TX at her parents home. Willie Mae was the oldest sister to four siblings who she devoted her time and effort to seeing after most of her life. She graduated high school from North Dallas High School and soon after met the love of her life Jerry Grubbs who she now joins in the Heavens above. Willie & Jerry then had three children, Richard, Cindy, and their baby of the bunch, Larin. Willie was a stay at home mom giving her the luxury of attending all her kiddos events as well as being able to be a crucial part of their everyday lives. Willie worked as a secretary for many years at the First Baptist church-Sunnyvale and then with Bill Bennet custom Homes/Construction. She quickly became apart of Bill Bennetts family, as well as them to all of us. She later retired from Bill Bennett construction and enjoyed her day to day with her dear friends, getting her hair done, traveling to visit her son Larin, and many other things that she felt led to do. Willie was a devoted member of the Casa View Baptist Church. She had a love for her nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren an individual relationship with each one of them that she would be the first to tell you about. Above all things Willie was a witness of the Lord bringing many to know him through her. Willie’s love for Elvis was no secret. She would travel to Memphis every year to celebrate his legacy with her dear friend June as well as many other loved ones. As of late, Willie lost her companion of 64 years and now we join together to remember her and celebrate them being reunited. Willie will forever be remembered for her infectious laughter and zest for life, and memories to be cherished by many for a lifetime. Willie is proceeded in death by her mother and father, sister, and grandson.

Friend DELRAY BEACH , Florida

My sympathy and prayers to Willie's family. She was such a dear friend, and I will miss her laughter and loving ways. Willie and I worked together at Sunnyvale. Baptist Church and also at Bill Bennett Homes in the 1980's. She visited me in south Florida in the 1990's and we gave her the royal tour even boating on the intercoastal. My memories will always be of us laughing together. Goodbye my sweet friend and I shall see you soon. Love to all the family.
