I am heartbroken over the loss of my dear friend, Chris. He was a great friend and my riding buddy. I hadn't seen him in a while, but we would talk on the phone to catch up with one another. After my motorcycle accident, he came to the rehab to visit me and then came to my home when I was released to build me a wheelchair ramp so that I could get outside. I'll never forget him taking me shopping for a pair of shoes to wear because my foot was still very swollen months later. He pushed me all around Payless in my wheelchair picking out pairs for me to see if they would fit. I finally settled on a pair of Crocs, which I still have over 7 years later. That day was the longest I had been out of the house in 3 months and when we got back to my house, he got me settled into my hospital bed. Within minutes I was sick and throwing up everywhere and, as embarrassed as I was, this sweet man was cleaning it up. I told him that was the sign of a true friend, one who would clean up after me after vomiting everywhere. πŸ˜† I will truly miss my dear friend. RIP Chris.
